Recreation Information
Beaches: The Southampton has its own private beach on site. Towels and chairs are avilalbe for hotel guest at no extra cost. Other beaches include Horseshoe Beach (rate as one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world) which is located adjacent the Southampton private beach.
Take the trolley down to the beach (takes about 2 minutes) and Horseshoe Beach is to the left. Elbow Beach is located in Paget parish, only 7 minutes outside of Hamilton. It is extremely popular, especially for college kids spring breaks.
The beaches that are located on the south shore of the island are considered the most beautiful in the world. Elbow Beach and Horseshoe Beach are by far the most popular, however once one starts looking one can find a quiet romantic cove and some privacy.

Riding Stables: These are not in the municipal limits of the city
of Hamilton or town of St George. They can be accessed by bicycle, bus, taxi or
moped, and have parking facilities. If you enjoy horseback riding, you'll have
great fun on approved routes in a number of rural areas, excluding the beaches.
The riding stables are approximately 6 minute taxi drive in Warrick. The cost
is apprx $50USD per person...same rate for children, and they do not take children
under 10 years old unless they ride on a regular basis. There is a walking ride
(the horses will not run) and it is a scenic ride on the beach. They do offer
private lessons and semi private lessons, and the guest needs to contact the tour
department at the hotel.

Waterlot Inn (4 Diamond): A charming 300 year old inn. Decor has cedar beams, stucco walls and expansive terrace overlooking the Bay.Dinner only - serves superb Mediterranean specialties. Dress code: Jacket required, tie optional. Children 12 and under do not need a jacket, but need to be dressed up for dining at the Waterlot Inn. Children 13 and over should wear a jacket.
